Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar

Congratulations to Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar, who in April became part of the Tibetan Government in Exile.   She came to Cardiff in April 2016, with the “Blood on the Snows” event.  A talk that was about the horrendous torture received by former Tibetan political prisoners.  I think she left us all with the feeling that the situation in Tibet can not be allowed to continue and that groups like ours need to inform about the plight of the Tibetan people  and support  where we can.  Namgyal is the Vice-President of Gu Chu Sum Movement Association of Tibet.

Namgyal is also famous for being the first Tibetan to be accepted as an Indian citizen, and at 25 years old, fought for her rights to be able to hold an Indian passport and succeeded.
